another November layout

I think this was my favorite layout that I did with www.3scrappyboys.com November kit!

I added the awesome Cosmo Cricket Core'dinations and the Maya Road Alphabet. I finally tried some Maya mist too! I used a brown and then over that I used a shimmer.

another sale!

As if the last sale wasn't enough, Heather is having another one!

Okay ladies, this is the end of the anniversary/Thanksgiving holiday deals and it is in my opinion the best one yet. So starting now in the special deal section of the store there are 5 kit packs-main only, add-on only, trio only and a combo pack. These are spectacular deals and are basically my version of the warehouse clearance type items that manufacturers are offering as they fit in a flat rate box. So, here's an example-if you are a trio subscriber but really wanted some of the main kits, purchase the main kit pack and get the ones you wanted at a discount. If there were particular kits you wanted, please write that in the comment section and as long as it's still in stock, I will make sure you get it.
This is a great way to get yourself some kits and your friends a gift for Christmas for a great price.

This week marks the one year anniversary that Heather J has owned 3 Scrappy Boys. One of the ways we are celebrating is to join forces with the Scrapfit gals.

favorites

Over the next few weeks I am going to continue to share my favorites with you. I have already shared some sewing favorites but I didn't share my favorite pattern designers. They also have great blogs :)

Sandi Henderson

Patty Young

I have made items using patterns from both designers and they are so easy to follow. They have really taken the time to make sure that you can easily understand whet you are supposed to do.

Sandi also has authored my favorite sewing book.

Rumor has it that Patty has a book in the works too :)

other hobbies

Yes, I actually do have other hobbies besides scrapbooking. Photography and reading for sure. But I also love to sew. When my older girls turned 8 I stopped sewing for them and I hadn't sewn in a few years, but with 2 little girls in the house again I have taken it back up. For those of you that are new to sewing or haven't sewn in awhile a great option is to buy a sewing kit from Etsy. The fabric is precut in the size you need and it comes with easy to follow instructions. 2 shops I have bought sewing kits from are:

Little Fish Big Pond

and

Oh So Sassy

and while I would not consider myself a beginning sewer I love having them cut out for me. Saves me so much time and with a new baby in the house, I need that!

Or if you are looking for some new patterns, PDF patterns are a great option. They are emailed to or you download them from the site. Here are some favorite places to purchase from:

Kustom Kids Boutique

Kissing Kumquats

Zozo Bug Baby

and if you are looking for fabric, I have found a new store to purchase from. Amazing customer service!
Hawthorne Threads

For inspiration I love the KinderKouture blog :)

Here is my almost 2 year old wearing a peasant top I made using a kit from Little Fish Big Pond.
