Back from the dead & other updates

Otherwise know as the flu. We are still sick but about half of us are on the mend. That last hold out woke up sick this morning.

So our days have been filled with these items.

This is my youngest wearing clothes that my oldest wore. Osh Kosh holds up well. He is the 6th boy to wear both of these items.

I am cheating on these pictures. Because 1. My husband took them & 2. He took them all the same same time. These 3 were not sick and decided to come play in the kitchen while we laid on the couch moaning. I never knew the joy of playing with an apple corer peeler slicer :) I would have freaked out if I had known. That thing is sharp!

The biggest update is that we are not moving. Lance had put in his notice and is boss asked him to stay. We know very clearly that this is the Lord's plan. I will share more of this story this weekend.

Blessings to all of you!

feb 23 &24

Well no packing for me today. Hubby is sick. So not much got done here. I did clean my house from top to bottom yesterday. I love having a clean house. With kids home all day every day I don't have a lot of time to deep clean. So it was nice to be able to take the time while Lance was home to do things I had let slide.

This is a layout all ready for shipping for a magazine request. (scrapbook trends July ;) )

This is one of my kitchen cupboards. So untidy. The baby spends most of his day taking things out putting things in. No toys for him. Give him so kitchen equipment and he is Happy!

Have you seen this new scrapbook company? Yummy stuff!

Did I mention we are leaving in 10 days? No? Well yeppers we are. So we really need to start packing. A family of 11 has lots of stuff. Meaning lots of packing to do.

So If I disapear you will know I am up to my eyeballs in diapers and packing tape.

I love breakfast for dinner!

Evidence that I really have started a little packing!

Feb 18 & 19

I confess I did not take a picture today. My husband had the camera in hand today for birthday pictures. But I am still going to post it even if it is not mine ;)

This is my little work space. On the kitchen table. We eat in the dining room, more room.

My youngest daughter turned 9 today! Can't believe that much time has gone by. She was in a hurry to arrive. 40 minute labor with her flying out! She hasn't slowed down since.

feb 15, 16 &17

Got busy again. While I don't find it hard to take a picture a day. I do seem to have a hard time getting them on my blog.

I do take pictures of the other children but the I admit to taking the most pictures of the baby. He is usually right next to me. An easy target :) His first time on the bouncing horse.

Playing with a fisher price pirate we have had since our oldest was a baby.

Lunch today. I made a 9 x 13 and an 8 x 8. All was gone!

feb 12, 13 & 14

Happy Valentine's Day!

I am a bad blogger this week. Had some stuff come up that took time to deal with. Still working on it but took a break.

Bought these adorable shoes for my youngest daughter. Every girl need a sparkly pair of shoes ;)

These remind me of my honeymoon. We went camping for our honeymoon. The campground had a little store that sold those little boxes of lemonheads. Every afternoon we would walk up and buy a box to eat while we walked around.

I was sitting on the floor playing with my camera when my 3 y/o plopped himself into my lap for a cuddle. Love moments like this.

Feb 11

After several years of should we or shouldn't we. The choice was taken out of my hands. I went to trim Tucker's hair. He zigged while I zagged. I ended up running him to the salon. I can mantain the hair cuts but to give them a style I am at a loss. Lance will be VERY surprised and not very happy when he gets home. We all loved Tuckers long curls.

It doesn't look so choppy in person. Weird.

I went through 5 more boxes today. I filled another 40 gallon bag for goodwill. Why was I saving maternity clothes in size small? What will be hard is getting rid of baby girl clothes. I am so ready for another girl. But do I really need 3 bins of newborn? We have friends that are having a girl in June. So I will pass some on to them, save some and give some to goodwill. It will be such a relief to have purged.

Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

Feb 9 &10

Again another weekend got away from me. Today we decided to tackle our basement. The kids keep getting into boxes and making a mess. So it was pretty bad. Plus when we had moved from California we had put stuff in storage to get the house ready and while it was on the market. We didn't take the time to throw things away, just packed them up and stored them. So we took them to Missouri and to Georgia. I am going through boxes of outgrown clothes and finding clothes my 15 y/o wore in kindergarten! The elastic is out on so many things. So far I have 4 of the huge lawn bags (40 gallon) for goodwill and 6 bags of garbage! I still have about 10 boxes of clothes to go through and we still have 3/4 of the basement to clean up. But it feels good to get it done.

Our cat hanging out in my bathtub

Bought some boots for the two little boys. This will save on my needing to wash their tennies every time they go outside to play!

Deu 32:2 My teaching will fall on you like rain; my speech will settle like dew. My words will fall like rain on tender grass, like gentle showers on young plants.

Feb 8th

Today I bring you me :)

I was trying to get a picture of my new tee shirt. But I could not get one that looked right. Plus the lettering was backwards :) But I love it. I got the aqua one. So soft. I am so glad I ordered the extra large. They definately are junior sizing!

I scrapbooked for myself today. I have been doing so many 1 page 1 photo layouts in
8 1/2 x11. So I did a multi photo 2 page 24x12.

Col 1:11 We also pray that you will be strengthened with his glorious power so that you will have all the patience and endurance you need. May you be filled with joy,

Patience and joy. Two things I need the Lord to give me daily. I remember in child birth class when I was pregnant with my first, they asked why you thought you would be a good parent. I said because I had lots of patience. Little did I know that the beautiful child God gave me would also come equipt with the knowledge of how to push all my buttons! Ha.

Today the baby is 14 months old. He is only nursing at night now. and may soon not need that anymore. A little bit sad. The Lord may choose for him to be our last. and I may never have this opportunity again. Hopefully He will bless us again, soon. See there is that patience thing again!

I have been taking a picture every month on his "birthday" It will be fun to see the changes month by month. This month he looks so much more like a toddler than a baby.

Feb 6th

Good day today. Felt like I got a lot done. Never enough of course but a lot on my to do list. My friend Kimberly at www.3scrappyboys.com has a weekly photo challenge. This weeks is to take a picture of the inside of your fridge. Now this is one of the things on my to do that did not get done but I took a picture anyway. Lots of creamer. Funny but I haven't found one that I like now that the holidays are over and I can't buy my peppermint mocha.

Emily asked about aperature. I am not very knowledgable at all. I am trying to make an effort to learn more about my camera and settings. I really need to find and read my manual and watch the dvd that we bought with my camera! But the smaller the aperature number, the more light it lets in. Since I shoot a lot of pictures indoors and it is winter I use my fixed focal length lens and keep the aperature at 1.8. Lance and I are playing more with the camera. Taking pictures of things that don't move and changing the settings to see what it does.

Song on my lips today?

Psa 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me.

I ran into the grocery store in te morning for some milk. This is wat I came home to. I believe he was playing with my daughters LOL.

I took the kids to the park today. I felt good to be outside. And I was glad they were able to run off some energy :)

Isa 52:8 Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices; together they shout for joy. When the Lord returns to Zion, they will see it with their own eyes

Day 32

What hubby and my oldest are doing right now.

Psa 121:2 My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

Day 31

Look what my youngest figured out how to do!

What a stinker ;)

A month gone already! 31 days out of 366.

What have I been doing? Cleaning! Being gone for one day really threw me off schedule. It took 4 ours to clean on Wednesday. Of course it all needs to be recleaned :) Such is life when you have lots of people in one space. Plus I like a clean house. Maybe if I wasn't so um I think I'll use the word picky. But I am.

Thank you for the nice comments about my pictures. In case anyone wanted to know, I use a Nikon D70 or my Hubby's D100. For almost all my shots that are taken in the house. I use my 50 mm 1:1.8d lens.

How lovely is your dwelling place,
O Lord Almighty.
I long, yes, I faint with longing
To enter the courts of the Lord.
With my whole being, body and soul,
I will shout joyfully to the living God.
