Day 29 & 30

First I have to give a loud shout out to my cousin Kate and her hubby Jeff. They gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Mary Faith Adele. Lots of dark hair. Lovely, lovely baby. It was so amazing of having the privilage of watching the birth. I took some pictures, but they were pretty cruddy :( The room was pretty dark and I didn't want to use my flash. So I will have to play around with photoshop and save some. But I will share one I took while Kate was in labor (I will let them share pics of the baby on their blog)

I bought these movies on Monday night. I stocked up on groceries and diapers before I left so my hubby wouldn't have to worry. and somehow I ended up with these too :) For some reason they are stilling sitting on my counter. We have seen the illusionist before. Loved it. Only one seen we had to fast forward through for the big boys. Looking forward to watching the other one. But not tonigt. Tonight we will watch american idol.

Luk 1:44 As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.

Day 25, 26, 27

Boy the weekend hits and I seem to have no time to blog. But I did take pictures. I take lots of pictures anyway but this is just a nudge to take one every day.

Our 3 oldest are diabetic. All since before age 2. SO this is a daily part of our lives. One is on the pump so that is why only 2 needles.

The front of my fridge. That desk picture is a hubby to do project :) I think it would be great for the kitchen. :)

The wall in the guy room (pool room)

Lance decided to get in on the act and took this picture. It is fun to share a hobby with my hubby.

Hope you had a great weekend!

Isa 12:3 With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.

Day 24

I am a bit behind but I will catch up tonight.

I love getting scrapbook goodies in the mail. This box contains the January kit from www.3scrappyboys.com So excited to dig in.

You know, I started this blog to remember all the funny, crazy things my children do. What is sad is, 5 minutes after it has happened, I know longer remember. I know they have said or done something I would like to remember, But for the life of me it is missing from my memory. Maybe I should buy a mini tape recorder and carry it in my pocket?

Today I made blueberry french toast casserole for the kids lunch. A family favorite. Except for Ethan. He wanted peanut butter. No jelly, just peanut butter. That is usually what he wants. Very picky child. At dinner he eats what I make but for lunch. I will make him a peanut butter sandwich.

I packed up movies today. Not all of them. I am not crazy. But 3 boxes full. 2 small and 1 medium. That is a lot of movies. We are movie junkies. No rentals for us. After spending a fortune in late fees over the years. We now buy a movie if we want to see it. But we are thinking about netflicks. And why do we have so many movies missing their cases? What happened to them? Does any one family need to own 15 winnie the pooh movies?

I am thinking random things today, I know.

Act 8:8 So there was great joy in that city.

Day 23

Look who got his first pair of shoes :) My Dad sent these to him today. It took him a minute to decide to stand up but was soon back to running through the house.

Job 8:21 He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy.

Day 22

I am a creature of habit. I have been eating the same lunch for 4 years. I wonder what that says about me? :)The only thing that changes is what diet caffeine free I drink.

Psa 4:7 You have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wine abound.

Day 21

I think this is my favorite picture ever! He was puckering because he was eating a m&m. See the chocolate on his face :)

I need to work on a photoshop brush for my pictures this week. I slapped this one on quick.

day 18, 19, 20

Having snow threw me off schedule. We had a blast watching the kids play in the snow. But boy did it create a ton more laundry! Outside, inside, change repete as necessary! But worth it.

This one has nothing to do with the snow but totally cute. Looks like baby L is going to be a reader!

our backyard

My parents bought this rocket for E for is birthday. Hubby finally had time to make it with him. He had a great time :)

and while this verse does not have the word joy in it, it is really about the reason for joy.

1Ti 1:14 The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

day 17

The cat watching the kids play in the snow :)

Be of good cheer. Do not think of today's failures, but of the success that may come tomorrow. You have set yourselves a difficult task, but you will succeed if you persevere; and you will find joy in overcoming obstacles. Remember, no effort that we make to attain something beautiful is ever lost.

Day 16

Snow in Georgia :) Such a fun treat. The kids have never been out while it was snowing. Once we woke up with snow here and once while we were in Missouri. Such fun to try to catch snowflakes on our tongues. Too bad it was getting dark but I did manage to get a couple of pictures before it was just too dark.

A layout I did as look back over 2007.

Ecc 8:15 So I commend the enjoyment of life, because nothing is better for a man under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany him in his work all the days of the life God has given him under the sun.

Day 15

Not feeling well today. I laid my little ones down for a nap and I crashed. Slept for 2 hrs! Felt good too. Still not feeling well. But I'll survive.

Psa 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.

Day 9

Ah the joys of laundry! I am pretty good about staying on top of the kids laundry. I try to do 2 -3 loads a day. But mine and hubby's? Not so much. This morning I realized I was out of jeans. So today I am being lazy and wearing yoga pants. Good thing I had no plans to go anywhere :) and yes. I am doing laundry.

I am really loving the 365 photo challenge. No worrying about the quality and just getting a shot is very freeing. and at the end of the year. A year picture of our lives...

Joy is prayer - Joy is strength - Joy is love - Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls.

Too tired to post yesterday. Did you know that you CAN still function with only 20 minutes of sleep. I got a whole 3 hours last night! Wow. The baby is getting 4 molars! Yikes.

Day 3

Obviously I am going for daily snapshots of our life right now. In 10 years our lives will be so different. It will be great to have this record.

Day 4

seems that today is a good day to make block towers :)

Trying to get out a scrapbook slump a friend gave me a challenge to use:
1. at least 2 stamps
2. 3 patterned papers
3. 5 stars
4. the title you make me smile

Here is what I came up with.

1Ch 16:27 Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy in his dwelling place.

Day 2 project 365. I have a teething baby today. So wile I am not loving the picture I took this morning, I haven't had a minute to take another. I thougt the woodpile was appropriate. It was 8 out this morning when I took it :)

Psa 5:11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.

my word of the year

I have been thinking about this and praying about this and my word for the year is "joy". We have had a rough year and I have at times let it get me down. So this year I will focus on the joy that comes from the Lord. I think this will make a great bible study.

If you are wondering why I am picking a word for the year. Read more on Ali Edwards blog.

Hbr 12:2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

day 1 project 365
