My number one time saving tip for cooking is to use the crockpot, rice cooker and bread machine.

Prepare in bulk and freeze. Bake when ready to use. Biscuits! Bisquick mix using the bulk recipe...simply cut out the prepared biscuit mix and line freezer ziploc bags with wax paper in between rows of biscuits and when you are ready to bake 1 or 10...pull them out and place on baking sheet and bake at temperature on box. Great time saver and perfect for weekends!

Hi! I found your site through the Above Rubies email:) My tip is to use the crock pot. Also I receive Quick Cooking magazine and they have great recipes.

An easy money saving tip is to buy a whole chicken and simmer it all day in a big pot. Cut up the chicken and use in 3-4 meals depending on the size of your family. Freeze the stock for soups and casseroles. One chicken can go a long way!

My money saving tip would be to plan out your menus. Keep a master list of all the meals your family likes and plan from that. Stick to it and shop only from the list. :)

Do I do that? Sometimes! I am trying. :D

I like to make multiple meals as I am making one for our family. Make 2 or 3 lasagnas when you are making one. Then I freeze the extras. Quick meal for another day or one to share with a new mother.

My cooking/timesaving comment would be... When making a meal just do doble of everything right then, it takes no more time and then you have an extra meal to put in the freezer for another day.
